Let other French designers remove their shows to the Paris suburbs—Karl Lagerfeld will not retreat. As ever, Chanel's spectacle took place at the Grand Palais. Trading in last season's life-size rendering of the house's Rue Cambon headquarters, Lagerfeld reimagined the black and white interior of a Chanel boutique (in this case, filled with the world's most important customers), complete with a hidden doorway from which he fabulously emerged to take his bow.
