FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HELLZ “KICKS AFTER SIX” DELIVERY LOS ANGELES, CA - July 15, 2009 -- The days of summer might be drawing to a close, yet the evening hours relent. Hence, the perfect time for LA based contemporary fashion brand Hellz to introduce their “Kicks After Six” capsule delivery. A concise yet bold collection, this limited 6 piece line extends Hellz’ ongoing graphic themes incorporating the idea of empowered defiant women that exude nothing but vicious confidence. Hellz Creative Director, Lanie Alabanza-Barcena expounds, “Inspiration for the graphics were drawn from familiar faces of fashion icons and iconic fashion brands who celebrate them." To present this collection, we've created a short film available via vimeo - http://vimeo.com/5603112 “Kicks After Six” is currently available at your local fine retailers. About HELLZ: Hellz was born the brainchild of Lanie & Bam in the gritty streets of New York and let loose upon the world in 2005. Hellz aims to reintroduce strength, individuality, and sexual empowerment with a sassy, balls to the walls approach. Kill that cutesy, helpless damsel in distress noise; the bad girls, the bookworms, and divas alike are represented. To reflect a woman deeper than the hyper-feminine stereotype, Hellz calls to all women to confront conformity, tear down boundaries, and rewrite the rules. From the back alleys to the art galleries, the suburbs to Broadway…wake up, take charge, and let it be known, "LONG LIVE HELLZ!"

After designing gold winged sneakers and fringed basketball tops, what’s left to do?
If you’re Jeremy Scott for adidas Originals by Originals, you take on the world—literally.
For fall ’09, a map-turned-dress joins the Missouri-born designer’s arsenal, along with workout harem pants and a print imitating the pixilated screen of a TV set.
It’s not Scott’s first go-round with the athletic company, but it certainly reminds us why the collection has been such a hit; the pieces are as quirky as they are functional. Think cartoon jungle animals on a track jacket, surfboards on a corset dress, and an entire giraffe (that would be the legs, body, neck, and head) across a sweatshirt. Scott hasn’t mellowed out—and it’s a good thing.
King of the Jungle—or at least the jungle gym? Yeah, you could say that. REBECCA WILLA DAVIS
